Well, the sleep study went off without a hitch. They increased my air pressure by two putting me at twenty, which is the max you can do.
The sleep tech, Donna, kindly pointed out the air filter on the back of the machine that had an inch of dust on it. Oops. Forgot about that. Thats two years of dust on that filter.
Since Friday I have slept really well.
Friday was uneventful at least up until it was time to leave work. I called Lisas, because we had plans to go shopping and to get a bite to ear. Her mother answered the phone and told me she had given Lisa a Valium for a bad headache.
I was a bit alarmed. Lisa doesnt get migraines that bad, ever. I went on a few errands and came back home. Lisa had called so I returned her phone call. This time she answered. She wanted me to come over anyway, even though she obviously felt so out of it that we werent going to go through with our plans.
I arrived over at Lisas and as soon as I got in the door I knew something was up. She was laid back in the recliner with a cold washcloth over her eyes. She looked sort of pale to me.
I carried on a conversation with her and her mother but still I felt something was not right.
Lisa eventually asked me to take her to the emergency room. She was weak, light-headed, dizzy, nauseous, and the pain was immense!
It was about 8:30 p.m.
Thank God it was later in the evening. Traffic was not bad at all. St. Anthonys is about 10-15 minutes from Lisas.
The waiting room was packed, so I settled down with Lisa for a long wait. She told me she was thirsty and so was I, so I went to get up and realized my butt was stuck in the chair. I could not believe it!!! How embarrassing! And yes, people stared at me. Lisa and I just giggled though, because it was funny.
Eventually, I got loose and left her and went to the snack bar. I bought a cookie, an iced coffee for me and a bottle of water for her.
I came back and chatted with poor Lisa, who still had the cold cloth on her head, for a little bit. I called her husband Doug, aka Mr. Moody, and let him know where we were.
Of course he was concerned, and he told us he would meet us up there.
The waiting room was still packed, so I felt we might be there all night. Eventually, they moved Lisa to a more private area. There, I tried to make light of the situation. Eventually, I found out there was a camera on her phone. I took a picture of her with the cloth on her face and saved it as her wallpaper on her phone. Every time I looked at it I would snicker, and then Lisa would snicker, and then her head would hurt, so wed stop snickering. Seriously.
Doug got there about an hour later.
Then she got moved to a room, and they took her blood and gave her some real good painkillers. Well, as Lisa said, they only masked the pain and did not relieve the migraine. The back of her head was pounding!
That would be logical to me, to give her a migraine medication, so I do not know why they didnt give her a migraine medication.
Lisa left around midnight or so with a prescription for Tylenol 3.
Saturday I got up and found out that Little Bear had eaten the cookie that I had bought at the hospital. By the way, he didnt die from eating the chocolate. That turd.
I went to do laundry.
More errands.
I wont bore you.
Oh, yeah, Lisa and I went to Fuddruckers for dinner on Saturday. She was bummed because we had plans to go out for the night, but that was okay. We dont always have to go out even though it is fun.
She was feeling much better, so it was good timing. The food is great, so if you have one near you, you should go. Word of caution, it is family oriented and I dont believe theres any smoking. But it was awesome!
After that, we went over to Bed, Bath and Beyond. I bought a few Sunwashed Linen tarts from Yankee Candle, and I got some was potpourri burners for $1.99 each!
Lisa got a few things she needed too. I can totally see how you can spend $100.00 each time you go in there. I really had to think about my purchases, and decide if I should spend the money.
After that we went next door to Marshalls. I was able to find a pair of Avia sneakers for $19.99! They are so cushy; it feels like Im walking on air! I needed new sneakers in the worst way, as my old Reeboks were making squeaking sounds on dry pavement and my legs and feet always hurt from not having enough support.
I also got a few candles and some hooks for my shower curtain! When my brother visited on Fathers Day, his kids broke my shower curtain!
I dropped Lisa off and went homeI watched Americas Most Wanted and the news. I went to bed.
Sunday was a rest and relax day. I did go to the mall to visit The Body Shop and buy their awesome eyeliner because Im almost out, but they had closed it and built a jewelry store. I was mad!
I did go into the Disney Store to buy Jackie a welcome home present. I got her a Barbie Cash Register for $4.79 (it was on sale) and I got her an outfit real cheap. I also bought Lisa something for her birthday that wasnt cheap but was very cute.
When I got home, I called Lisa. She didnt sound so hot, but she was hungry. So I picked her up and we finally settle on going to Red Lobster for dinner. I hadnt eaten since 10:30 a.m. and it was going on five, so I was starving!
We both had shrimp dinners and it was nice.
I did forget to mention that we ran into Lamey and Dracula when we came in the door at Red Lobster! That was weird because I havent seen them in over a year because of the frosty reception I always got when I visited.
But I gave Dracula a hug because I didnt want to be mean and then have them give Rene grief later. I asked where he was and they said he was out running! That tells you how much he is around those people!
When it came time to pay, I told Lisa Id pick up the check. But my card was declined! I knew I had some money in that account. I was so embarrassed. Lisa paid and we hauled butt to her house so that I could check my account. Sure enough, there was about $600.00 in that account!
I still dont know what the problem is!
Well, that was my weekend. How was yours?
