Saturday we had family day at my work. There were lots of interesting things to do and see so I dragged Jackie, Salsalita and Lake all over the base.
I felt the most interesting sight was the St. Louis firemen. Meow! The kids were more impressed with the animal balloon lady who took ten years to make a critter. We finally convinced the kids that wed come back.
We had a really good time. I felt that it was nice to be able to show my kid and my bestest bud where I work. This place only opens its doors every so often, so its kind of like youll see it when hell freezes over.
Hell froze over on Saturday. Lisa and I also froze quite a few body parts. Her teeth were making a clackity-clack noise, poor thing.
I moved 18 computers today. Well, actually, I helped move 18 computers today. I wish I could say all of this work makes me a buff babe, but sadly, I still resemble Buddha and not Cindy Crawford. Cindy has a nice body. Shes not looking underfed, and shes not Anna Nicole. I sort of have a body more like Anna before those diet pills. Anna is looking quite lovely these days, according to Star magazine.
I will deny reading Star, because its a tabloid, to anyone else than Salsalita.
Anyway, Im physically exhausted. I cant feel my buttocks, for my legs have gone numb.
On a good note, I have been drinking diet soda for almost two weeks and Im losing weight. In fact, Im PMSing and my pants arent tight. Yay. My doctor also put me on Allegra, and according to some research about people on Zyprexa, those that take an allergy medicine in addition to the Zyprexa actually stop the massive weight gain.
A doctor puts a person on Zyprexa for being bipolar and they get fatter. Hmm. Yep, its helped me feel much better about the world in general now that my butt is two feet wider. Thanks, doc!
I got my first shipment of Mary Kay yesterday. I love makeup. It makes me dizzy and I love nothing more than to spend a half an hour (if Jackie will give me a half an hour of peace) to play in it.
Mr. Sweatpants, God bless his reverent Catholic long suffering soul, purchased my new dining room set from Rhodes yesterday. Guys will be bored at this point, but girls, this thing is beautiful.
Its light oak, long square table. The tabletop itself is light oak, and the insert is cream-colored tile.
My beautiful table is accompanied by four light oak chairs with a lattice backing, and there is a matching bench that Rene purchased for $99.00. The bench will seat 3 kids. And theres a think bar underneath the bench where the kids can put their feet, and if they get smart with me, they can be tied to it.
The set was on sale for $399.00. But it was only the table and chairs. The set itself was on sale for Veterans Day. Since Im a veteran I felt I, actually Rene, was getting a good deal by the set being marked $200.00 down from the original price of $699.00.
And he loves me as his bestest friend so I didnt really feel guilty getting this for birfday and Christmas.
It will be delivered next Wednesday. Yay.
I already bought a centerpiece, which is a very thin glass bowl with exotic blue, pink and yellow flowers etched onto it. I filled it halfway with exotic sea smelling potpourri.
I decided my dining room would be no longer ducks, which I think stink and sometimes bite. They look cute in the kitchen but if youve ever had one of those honkers bite you with those piranha teeth you will probably think they arent so adorable anymore. My dining room will now be, exotic flowers.
Im really busy today, but I will update again soon.
Much love, Missy.
